Think about this for a moment. What is the first thing people look at or notice when meeting someone new? They are looking at your eyes, teeth (smile) hair. Are they looking to see if you have great nails or if they are polished or gelled? No. Not really right? But some people feel that their nails are more important than their skin. I don’t. My opinion, but I’ve always felt that way about this. Of course, if you can do both that’s great, but I guess I don’t understand why people neglect their skin and focus on their nails. Nowadays, more than ever, it’s important to look and feel our best whether out in the competitive job arena, or just overall wanting our skin to look youthful and the very best it can be. We are all aging, but let’s try to do the best for our skin without lasers and needles. They aren’t going to help with prevention of signs of aging or premature aging. And even with those things you still need to take care of your skin.
So, a facial or facial treatment once in a while is nice but won’t do much as far as changes we all want to see on our faces. Consistency wins the race. Not just taking care of your skin at home. That’s great too-but by itself is not going to get you where you want to be with your skin goals. Each facial or facial treatment builds on the one before it enabling your skin to get better looking and more youthful over time. So, it is best to have a facial or treatment such as Microcurrent, Diamond Abrasion, or LED light. What do I mean by regularly? Every 4-6 weeks. Coupled with great homecare, you’ll be doing the best you can do for prevention. At Afterglow, I use Glymed Plus and Osmosis skin care products.
Fact. At age 25 is when the aging process starts its decline. Remember, it’s easier to prevent the signs of aging or premature aging, than to make changes when those wrinkles, brown spots, crows feet, sagging, brown patches are already there. I’m not saying that it’s not possible to affect these things, it is…we just have to be more dedicated and work harder on them. At Afterglow, I’m actually seeing more and more younger people coming in for treatments because now more than ever because they know the importance of prevention and taking care of their skin now.
So, please, put your skin and face first. Take care of it. It really is one of the first things people notice about you. Get on a regular regimen of facials, treatments and skincare. It’s got to last you a long time.
