I’ve heard that from a few people. They have kids and are busy with them, have a full time job and in some instances a more than full time job, or a business that consumes them, or an elderly parent to take care of.
And, I understand that everyone’s live are really, really busy nowadays- all of us are. But time goes by and one of these days in the future you are going to look at your skin..
And, you will realize by what you see in that mirror..that you should have made the time to take care of your skin.
So keep this in mind. Everything you do, or don’t do for your skin is going to show up, for better or worse in your 40’s and 50’s and beyond that.
I’ve been an Esthetician for 16 years and I have seen some women age beautifully and some not so, with sagging, browns spots, fine lines, and wrinkles.
And.
The difference between the two, is that one took the time, used good home care, had facials and the other did not. And, I have experience with that because I’m one of the ones that takes the time with the care of my skin. And, you can say that my skin looks great for my age, or because I’m an Esthetician, but yours can also.
So. Back to the time thing. Let me explain how much time you really need to avoid seeing that unwanted face and skin looking back at you in the mirror in your 50’s. I’m not trying to frighten you or sell you facials and skincare. And, I’m not making this up. Its a fact. You are going to age.
Let’s look at Facials. You can have a facial once or twice a year, but is it going to make an impact on the health and looks of your skin? Not really. The real changes come with consistency. Consistency meaning a facial every 4-6 weeks.
And. Using professional skin care. We all know about the fillers, perfumes, and the lack of – or minimal amounts of active ingredients in over the counter skincare.
So, I think the maximum amount of time taking care of your skin daily should only be about 3-5 minutes a day. Cleansing. What does it take? A minute? Twice a day = 2 minutes. And, moisturizer or moisturizer with sunscreen. Another minute each time? So, in between the cleansing and before moisturizing do you think you might have time to add a serum? That- might be another minute or less? And, maybe pop an eye cream on? Maybe a total of 4 minutes? Really, no excuse for not caring for your skin.
Doesn’t take that much time does it?
Well, I can assure you that if you don’t use quality home care and only have a facial every six months, your skin will not improve. And, its so much easier to prevent premature aging in your 20’s and 30’s than waiting until it manifests itself in your 40’s and 50’s.
Estheticians are trained to know which treatments and products will be of benefit and create changes in your skin. And, believe me, I take great pleasure seeing those changes in your skin.
Want to have others wonder why your skin looks so youthful and vibrant? Remember a facial here and there is not going to create changes you want, and stop thinking youthful skin will just happen on its own. You need to get on board with facials and home care, and love that face you see in the mirror!
